Inspiration

The Spring season officially begins in the month of March.  A time of fresh beginnings. A time when people do more detailed cleaning around the house like dusting down ceilings and walls, or perhaps organizing by getting extra plastic units for past winter clothes. For some, it's a time to give their homes a fresh makeover with some bright pillowcases or new rug.
All these things are important and can be fun, but the best way to make a fresh start is by starting or renewing a relationship with the Creator of all things, the Lord Jesus Christ. First off, I want to say Jesus loves you very much. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life." Second, in order to redeem that love, we first have to acknowledge that we are imperfect, meaning we are sinners.  Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." and Acts 3:19 says, "Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord." Jesus wants to refresh and create a brand new person out of us. 2 Corininthians 5:17 says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
God wants to transform us like the butterfly, making us something new and beautiful!

I invite you to accept this love that God wants to give you by receiving Christ as Savior and Lord today. The gospel is simple as ABC. A-accepting you're a sinner and asking for forgiveness, B-believing that Jesus died on the cross for you, and C-confessing Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.

Tomorrow is not promised. "Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." 2 Cor 6:2. Last month, my dear aunt and godmother went to be home with the Lord. What comforted me, was the fact that she knew Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior. Although she did a lot of "acts of kindness," in her lifetime, i.e. feeding the hungry in skid row, etc, that does not make us righteous enough to stand before a holy God. It takes a verbal confession and a heart change.

For those who have backslid or turned away from the Lord, I want you to know that God can't wait to for you to be reconciled to Him! Like the shepherd who went to look for his one sheep that strayed out of one hundred, God puts values you.  Hosea 14:4 says, "I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely, for My anger has turned away from him."

Sinners Prayer: “Heavenly Father, I want to be like Jesus. I confess all of my sins, I recommit myself to you as my Lord; and I ask you to work in my life to develop the fruit of the Spirit so I may become continually more mature in my faith.”
